I came to technology through computer games, and spent some time in my early graduate studies working with MOOs and MUDs as part of writing instruction. I teach a lot of first-year writing, including a course that blends history and literature of the 1920s with instruction in scholarly writing. I'm interested in educational assessment that doesn't use standardized tests and in blending composition courses with games/technology.
